Main actor on top of a ledge yelling erase me

erase me - Lizzy McAlpine feat. Jacob Collier (FAN ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEO)

Shot on a Canon EOS Rebel T6, varying shot lengths. Composited 2D Animation using Blender.

This video highlights my exploration into composited and mixed media animation and art. Planned and storyboarded over the course of two weeks in January and February, this composite of live-action and 2D animation was an experiment to test the field of mixed media and learn how to produce video alongside animation. It uses basic film techniques like changes between static and tracking shots, and varying lens lengths. It also uses some light animation effects to emphasize movement or add liveliness to an otherwise static shot. I will continue to delve into the world of mixed media and learn more about the medium of composite live-action films.

Blender was the only program that was able to open my fully rendered and edited video (even after I tried importing everything in separate files as frames)

This project pushed me in so many ways -- The whole project was planned, shot, and animated over the course of about one month in February. I storyboarded out the whole music video, assigned shots to certain locations on campus, and planned to film everything I needed in one day. I was able to film almost every shot on one Saturday morning, and I only needed to get a few shots the day after. The following week was all of the animation. Due to the nature of the animation I was doing, it wasn't too difficult, but it sure was time-consuming. I'm proud to say this is one of my most involved and out-there works that really pushed my skills into new boundaries of both film and animation techniques. It also really helped me get acclimated with animating in 2D in Blender!
